Dan is also the author of the 2020 bestseller, The New Map: Energy, Climate, and the Clash of Nations, and is a vice-chairman of S&P Global. He is a former longtime board member of the Council on Foreign Relations (where I am a member) and is a senior trustee of the Brookings Institution.
